If you live in the UK or the US, then you will probably know all about Simon Cowell. He is a hugely successful record producer who has now become a household name thanks to his judging roles on shows such as The X Factor, Britain's Got Talent and America's got Talent. However in this article I want to talk about some of the ways Simon Cowell stays looking young.
In the past he has freely admitted that he whitens his teeth and has used Botox to smooth out his wrinkles, but this week it was revealed that he is currently drinking lots of fruit smoothies in order to stay fit and healthy and ward off the effects of aging.
However they are not just your bog standard smoothies made from standard household fruits such as bananas, strawberries and oranges. These smoothies are made from exotic fruits not commonly found in your local supermarkets that contain huge quantities of vitamins and antioxidants.
So let me talk about some of these ingredients. One of the main ones is chokeberry, a type of blackberry commonly found in the US. They contain a lot of antioxidants, so therefore help to fight off a number of cancers and diseases, and were once described as the healthiest berry in the world.
Two other berries used in this smoothie are acerola berries and lingonberries. I haven't heard of either of these two berries myself, but apparently the acerola berry is rich in vitamin C (and other vitamins) whilst the lingonberry is rich in many different vitamins and minerals and also contains Omega 3 as well.
The smoothie is finished off with grape juice, blueberry puree, strawberry puree and apple puree so it is easy to see why Simon Cowell drinks this mixture every single day. It really does seem to provide you with a lot of health benefits, and I'm sure the vitamins and minerals that it contains do actually help you stay young and healthy.
If you want to copy Simon Cowell and drink this smoothie yourself every day, it may not be so easy because I would imagine the ingredients could be quite hard to come by. It is alright for Simon Cowell because he is always in America and I'm sure it is easy for him (or his assistants) to get the necessary ingredients, but for the ordinary man on the street living here in the UK, for example, it may be quite difficult. As far as I am aware not many places, if any, sell fresh supplies of lingonberries, for instance.
So your best bet is to try and find health stores or online suppliers of these ingredients if you want to enjoy the health benefits of this smoothie yourself. Or you could of course do your research and create your own healthy smoothies using common ingredients that you know you can get hold of in your local area. Either way you can get a lot of health and anti-aging benefits from fruits, as Simon Cowell can probably testify.
